Trans-System currently has an opening for an Accountant.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Process office and shop payroll; bi-weekly and semi-monthly
• Assist in weekly processing of driver payroll and owner operator settlement
• Responsibility for the accounting of used equipment sales
• Process and administer employee garnishment orders
• Resolve payroll discrepancies
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
• Monitor promotions, transfers, and terminations
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts
• Assist the Accounting Manager with daily bank reconciliations
• Review and abide by company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, it is preferred an individual have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years payroll experience
