We are seeking an exceptional, motivated senior people leader who offers a strong history of leading and influencing organizational strategy to achieve business group goals. You will serve as the enterprise subject matter expert (SME), defining and evolving progressive talent acquisition strategies and processes that drive a strong strategic agenda. Defines and leads the development and implementation of the Talent Acquisition strategy that results in a competitive advantage and accelerates business results. Leads the talent acquisition team in delivering excellent recruiting services and highly qualified candidates in times of high volume and normal-paced recruiting. Works closely with the HR Leadership team to drive adoption and alignment of talent acquisition priorities, initiatives, processes, and tools.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Business Partnership/Sourcing to Ensure Access to Top Talent
- Change agent, strategic advisor, and partner to the Business, HR, and TA teams
- Develop strategic sourcing processes, practices, and capabilities for Business Groups, other COEs, and regional recruiting teams – targeted to critical talent segments.
- Collaborate to activate and elevate the Brand.
- Partner to establish, operationalize and optimize an enterprise campus recruiting, internships, and early career talent strategy.
- Develop innovative solutions to have and maintain an internal pipeline of potential candidates aligned with succession and in process with Talent Management.
- Partner with the Talent, Inclusion, & Diversity team to deliver diverse hiring practices and candidate slates
- Develops and/or recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
Process & Systems Excellence
- Evaluate the existing end-to-end process for profiling, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding. Improve/adapt process where appropriate.
- Manage the automation of the recruiting function, including ATS process management solutions
- On a timely basis, compiles, analyzes, and utilizes Generac data and performance metrics to identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures and advises management on trends and recommended strategies.
- Optimize recruiting load management and maximize the yield from the in-house team, internal referrals, job boards, etc.
- Liaise with HR Business Partners to continuously improve the candidate experience throughout the hiring life cycle.
Leadership
- Designs and directs the work of the talent acquisition function.
- Selects, coaches, and develops the team, setting objectives that align with company strategy to inspire and motivate the team.
- Designs and directs processes by which team and individual performance are recognized, feedback is consistently delivered, and performance is systematically improved.
- Effectively manage a high-performing team of in-house recruiters.
- Budget management
Workforce Management
- Conduct proactive needs analysis with HR partners to establish an execution plan to achieve high volume hiring during peak business demands across the designated business area (particularly in weather events).
- In collaboration with the HRBP, improve annual strategy setting, planning, budget process, and workforce planning needs as subject matter expert (SME), providing insight about market talent pools, compensation levels, likely sources, etc.
- Ensure that team is right-sized to support the recruiting volumes and that resources are flexibly scalable (up or down) by evolving needs.
EVP Brand
- Leads the design and delivery of employment branding and innovative recruiting campaign activities that produce candidate awareness of Generac’s recruitment branding and Employment Value Proposition (EVP).
Minimal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Human Resources or other related fields.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive talent acquisition experience in high-volume, growth-oriented environments.
- Five-plus years in a management role, ideally in a manufacturing or technology environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Human Resources or other related fields.
- Experience with Enterprise ATS, Manufacturing Staffing, and Professional/Technical staffing.
- Knowledge of mergers and acquisitions to include due diligence and integration processes.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality and proven ability to handle sensitive information.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills necessary to interact with staff at all levels of the organization and candidates.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal customer/business partner relationships to achieve Talent Acquisition objectives.
- Sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Ability to understand complex global organizations and their interdependencies to influence and make talent program decisions.
- Requires attention to detail and analytical skills necessary to evaluate situations and take appropriate action.
- Strong data and analytics capabilities, establishing metrics, managing results and reporting.
- Demonstrated understanding of the laws and regulations that affect human resources.

- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Current knowledge of enterprise-wide (ERP) based HR systems (Workday, Oracle Cloud HR, SAP/SuccessFactors, etc.)
Physical demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
