Leading Hayward, California Asian Food Importer and Distributor is seeking a full-time truck driver.

Tong Enterprises is a very well-established Asian food import and distribution company located in Hayward, California. Together with our sister company located in Los Angeles, we have a sales area that covers the USA. We are a leading company in the Asian food import industry with healthy sales and strong management. We are looking for a truck driver with at least one year work experience driving a box truck.

Job description includes (but not limited to):

Primary Tasks,

• Assemble and load customer orders onto truck
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Perform daily pre-trip inspection on equipment prior to commencing route
• Deliver products to customers safely and on time, according to routing instructions
• Record route activity and produce accurate delivery record
• Handle customer returns, collect payment when required and complete necessary paperwork
• Keep interior of truck organized and clean
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Perform other general warehouse tasks as assigned when not on delivery schedule

Job Requirements,

• Must be responsible and courteous
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Must have safe driving record as driving history will be checked as a pre-employment condition
• At least 1 year experience driving a 26ft bobtail / box truck - single axle
• Be able to lift products up to 50 lbs.
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometer’s spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Need to pass pre-employment physical and drug test
• Experience with the following equipment Sit down forklift electric pallet jack (Walkie)
• Truck drivers must also possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL) B or C .
