What You Will Do at Aptar Pharma
The primary mission of the Mechanical Supervisor is to lead the Technical Operations Mechanical team managing assigned duties of preventative maintenance and work orders to meet customer requirements. Aptar Pharma’s Technical Operations team includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our industrial equipment. Duties include but are not limited to:
· Supervises and coordinates activities of mechanics engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, maintaining and fine-tuning automated assembly machinery and equipment.
· Responsible for the supervision and coordination of Mechanical Technical Operations functions on multiple shifts at the assigned location
· Monitors and maintains all related equipment ensuring proper operation to achieve production targets
· Directs mechanics in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic maintenance and repair thereof
· Support the development, implementation and leading to achieve greater machine reliability
· Provide leadership and direction to on shift labor workforce to maximize productivity and output whilst ensuring necessary resources are available
· Build/reinforce a fair and respectful work environment
· Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and related performance objectives
· Report status of operations, highlighting significant events to leadership whilst providing direction to assigned station personnel to ensure station and divisional objectives are achieved
· Keeping track of employees' schedules and maintaining personnel records.
· Comply with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and LOTOTO.
· Manage spare parts and related resources to reduce internal costs and efficiency.
· Maintain automated assembly equipment.
· Maintain laboratory and test equipment.
· Ensure adherence to safe work practices.
· Monitor production levels and machine & process efficiencies ensuring OEE and KPI’s are met
· Adhere to change control processes.
· Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for technical and maintenance activities.
· Manage service contracts and internal projects.
· Coordinate, update technical instructions and manuals.
What Aptar Pharma Is Looking For
· BS in Engineering, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial disciplines or equivalent experience.
· 3 years of Supervisory experience in Medical Device Manufacturing or Industrial Manufacturing
· Exceptional leadership, communication, and project leadership skills, experience, and a belief in developing the skills and talents of others. Ideal candidates will have experience in identifying and navigating organizational changes, a keen interest in international trends in engineering and leadership, and above-average emotional intelligence.
· Experience with working in and supporting Clean Rooms
· At least 3 years’ experience leading a technical manufacturing support team
· Excellent computer skills utilizing SAP and MS Office.
· Thorough understanding of cleanrooms and cGMP.
· Ability to read blue prints/schematics and to use shop tools.
· Proven ability to communicate with executives, peers, and team members.
· Independent, self-motivated, able to give presentations and training sessions.
· Detail oriented, rigorous, analytical, reactive and good interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical skills, flexible, and hands-on.
· Excellent communications, inter-personal skills, leadership and diplomacy, builds strong relationships

· Ability to regularly stand, bend, carry / lift up to 50lbs daily during each work day
· Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing all required PPE, following all Safety, GMP, ISO and other regulatory and operational requirements
· Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support team members on multiple work shifts and to meet customer requirements.
