Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

Compensation Minimum:$91,200 annual

Compensation Maximum:$152,000 annual

The Product Owner leads our agile scrum team developing key capabilities on the Call Center Sales Product. The Product Owner owns, maintains and prioritizes the backlog for the development scrum teams. They share the product vision and works closely with the Product Manager to ensure the team delivers value to the business.

This leader will work with key business and IT partners to develop strategic plans and vision. This individual is a self-starter; with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction. Strong presentation skills, analytic skills and a passion for improving experiences using technology are essential.

Key Duties

  • Prioritize intake from multiple sources (contact center operations, technology, digital, business partners, etc) and establish and manage to a product roadmap and delivery backlog.
  • Work as part of an Agile team, delivering frequent enhancements to the product that maximize value.
  • In partnership with an agile scrum master and/or a other Product Owners, collaborate with analysts, software engineers, designers and QA to build and deliver frequent enhancements to key technology capabilities.
  • Actively participates in Product Backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, defect management and project team’s release planning sessions
  • Accessible for the team to answer questions, and during Sprint planning sessions, and Daily Scrum
  • Bring together diverse, cross-functional teams (including business leads, user experience and design leads, product analysts, engineers) to meet established business objectives around sales flows, experience and outcomes.
  • Own and develop a product roadmap.
  • Execute on the product roadmap and provide accurate timelines and status back to stakeholders
  • Establishes metrics to track initiative benefits realization and key performance indicators
  • Establish a continuous improvement refinement process
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of technology to collaborate with our technology partners to build or integrate scalable and extensible capabilities
  • Partner with analytics and insights team to define an analytics strategy that will allow for data-driven insights and strategic decisions.
  • Utilizes internal (business strategies, client feedback, etc.) and external (industry research, competitive benchmarking, etc.) information sources and research to craft strategies/roadmaps. Champions vision to attain buy-in from stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Agile/Scrum work environment as a Product Owner: writing user stories, and following the development process through user story acceptance
  • 5+ years financial services or digital industry experience. Preferred experience in one or more of the following areas: digital, product development, product management, data/analytics, insurance.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, agile, and data-driven environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Highly analytical. Ability to leverage raw data to formulate insights that drive fact-based strategies, business cases, decisions, and market opportunities.
  • Excellent problem solving and quantitative skills (e.g., capable of defining a problem/objective, acquiring information, performing analyses, interpreting findings, and recommending courses of action).
  • History of high performance. Successful attainment of outstanding results in past products and business initiatives.
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to tailor message to diverse audiences: executive leadership, peers, partners, clients, and industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and history of autonomously driving simultaneous initiatives to completion.
