Position Summary: Employee is responsible of all Incoming and Outgoing materials.

Shipping & Receiving

Skills Required:

· Having high attention to details

· Dependable and good attendance record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned for Shipping & Receiving .

Receiving

• Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

• Uses computer to record receiving and inspection data into inventory system, Excel, and other programs as directed.

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with carrier or purchasing to rectify damages and shortages.

• Inspects and/or tests incoming materials for conformance per company standards. Records results into computer systems as directed.

• Applies inventory labels to cartons.

• Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

Shipping

· Assembles containers or selects pre-assembled containers.

· Follows customer required shipping methods

• Applies shipping labels to packed cartons.
• Inserts items into appropriate containers and verifies counts, weights, labels, documentation, and customer routing notification requirements.

• Proactively monitors customer portals for changes in shipping dates, ships orders on time, notifies Customer Service when not possible.
• Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

• Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
