Degree Requested: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related area. (In lieu of degree, will consider equivalent combination of work experience, training and related education)
Job Description
This is a position that opens the door for growth and future opportunities. As a Programmer Level 1 you will be working alongside Programmer Level 2s and Engineers with the installation, startup and commissioning of automated industrial control systems. You will have times in which you are working independently and others in which you are assisting a Programmer Level 2 who may be remote. Programmer Levels 1s may be responsible for writing cradle to commissioned code depending on job complexity and scope. In the field you act as the technical resource for Technician Level 1 and 2, you need to be able to offer guidance on control wiring solutions, VFD programming, network layout, instrument scaling and site commissioning as a whole. You will also need to have some basic radio skills to troubleshoot communication issues over remote telemetry systems. You should have a basic grasp on HMI programming as well as ladder logic.
Programmer Level 1s will receive on going training with the hopes of elevating them to a Programmer Level 2 position. Timber Line strongly believes in promoting from within.
