Job Description :

Springer's Jewelers is hiring a full-time Sales Director position based out of our Portsmouth, NH location but willing to travel to Bath, ME and Portland, ME locations intermittently.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

The Springer’s Jewelers Sales Director will oversee Springer’s three sales teams. Each sales team/store has a Sales Manager that reports directly to the Sales Director. The Sales Director will align the company vision and values and work collaboratively with marketing and all other departments to facilitate growth and increase sales. They will work the management team to set sales goals, prepare a strategy to achieve those goals, implement the Springer’s Sales Process and execute with the team within the approved budget to deliver Superior Experiences Always to our customer and continually evaluate and achieve the planned results.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekly Tasks:

  • The Sales Director will conduct a weekly sales meeting with the individual sales managers to review each stores weekly sales, evaluate sales pipeline, and identify areas of opportunities or concern to address at each store.
  • Participate in the Weekly Leadership meeting with all directors.
  • Lead the Weekly Sales Manager meetings with all Sales Managers from each location together: The attendance will be to identify sales process improvement opportunities, address new policies/procedures, or company initiatives, as well as to listen and invite feedback on any areas that need improvement and answer any questions or concerns that may come up at the store level.
  • The Sales Director will establish weekly, monthly, and annual Clienteling goals to ensure the teams are executing the sales process and creating new opportunities

Bi-weekly Tasks:

  • Manage and approve time off request and time sheets for Sales Managers

Monthly Tasks:

  • Attend Store Meetings in all three locations (Once a month)
  • Perform 1:1 Monthly Review/Check-In with each Sales Managers individually
  • Attend Monthly Dashboard meetings with the Leadership team - work closely with all departments to align marketing, sales, service, financial and inventory/estate goals to achieve the company goal.
  • Follow up analysis on each event to determine the success of the event based on goals set during planning
  • Sales Analysis for Key department/Vendors

Quarterly Tasks:

  • In Depth Sales Analysis for trends/adjustments
  • Meeting with all Directors to evaluate how each department is supporting the mutual sales goals set.
  • Develop internal and/or facilitating programs to incentivize sales.
  • Adjusting quarterly sales goals as needed

Annual Tasks:

  • Analyzing past sales and data to develop annual budget plans and sales goals.
  • With the input of the CEO/CFO/COO setting annual goals for individual stores and developing initiatives to support the reaching of goals.
  • Working with marketing team on executing the creative vision of the Springer's Jewelers brand
  • Coordinating with the Directors team (specifically Marketing) to strategize the event/promotions calendar
  • Administering direct report Annual Performance reviews

Ongoing Tasks:

  • Providing management and leadership experience to coordinate sales efforts and ensure sales representatives perform to expectations, follow the SEA Sales Process and achieve sales goals.
  • Developing and maintaining regular communication with the management team, vendors and internal staff.
  • Coaching sales teams to meet sales and marketing objectives.
  • Managing the implementation, use and effectiveness of the CRM system

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 7-10 years of professional work experience, including 5+ years in a sales driven position with a premium jewelry or lifestyle brand/retailer.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales management/supervisory position.
  • Ability to process information, including transactions and reports, through a POS system.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to make decision for the business that will contribute to overall operational strategy
  • Willingness to show trust to the team and empower them to do the work, following the Servant Leadership Model
  • Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operations
