The Residential Junior Sales Associate works in conjunction with our territory managers, customers, and custom team to quote, manage, and close complex residential lighting deals. Ongoing responsibilities include: prospecting, customer service, quotation of custom and catalog products as well as forecasting, project management, and related administrative activities.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Residential team; this may include managing manufacturer representatives, customers, orders, invoicing, closing deals, prospecting, etc.
  • Prospecting includes researching leads, cold calling, social media marketing, etc.
  • Work closely with Residential team on larger projects in order to further develop skill set
  • Assist with service orders for Residential team
  • Assist with paid service orders for Residential team
  • Help Residential Sales Manager with protocols, keeping track of meeting minutes, clerical work, and any administrative duties, as needed
  • Communicate weekly backlogs for entire Residential team
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience of administrative, sales, or other closely related experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Professional & eloquent presence on phone conversations.
  • Computer skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, social media applications, typing, etc.
  • Positive, professional, friendly, and customer-focused attitude
  • Solution-minded team player
  • Ability to multi-task and re-prioritize throughout the day
  • Ability to work under pressure on time-sensitive deadlines
  • Effective project management, with timely follow-up and organizational skills
  • Lighting industry experience is a bonus
  • Interior design background is a bonus

Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
  • Possible travel
