Job Summary

To provide the highest level of customer service by being friendly and greeting each customer. Job entails cashiering, stocking duties, light cleaning and dusting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

-Provides quality customer service by greeting each customer in a prompt and timely manner.
-Consistently punctual.
-Performs cashiering duties.
-Follows Techniques of Alcohol Management policies/procedures.
-Follows Tobacco Sale policies/procedures.
-Follows security and safety policies/procedures.
-Maintains a clean store environment by performing housekeeping duties.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

-Works indoors under regular store conditions.
-Works outdoors under regular weather conditions as needed.

Equipment use:

-Continuous use of the cash register and time delay safe.
-Occasional use of calculator.
-Occasional reset of car wash when needed.

Work Hours:

-Standard shift is 8 hours, with a 5-day work week (40 Hours total).
-Days worked may vary due to demands of schedule.
-Possible Sunday - Saturday availability.
-Flexible availability to work varied shifts as needed (i.e. day, swing, or overnight)
-Extended hours as assigned.

MENTAL DEMANDS:

-Continuously requires attention to detail, concentration, alertness, and mathematical skills.
-Medium/fast-paced, fun and exciting atmosphere.
-Constant social interaction with customers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Continuous standing for extended periods of time, product handling, register keying, use of eye-hand-foot coordination.
Frequent climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, reaching; pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. of merchandise cartons.

COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:

-Continually talks to and meets request of customers.
-Frequently talks to co-workers, Store Managers and Upper Management.
-Needs to be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
-Needs to have candor when asked questions from Store Manager and Upper Management.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Skills/Knowledge:

-Requires mathematical proficiency for proper cash handling.
-Ability to provide prompt, friendly and quality customer service.
-Ability to perform stock/inventory duties.\

Education/Training:
-High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Successfully completes Liquor Training and receives valid Liquor Card.
-On-the-job training provided by the Manager and Upper Management.
