General

  • Bachelors of Science in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Has at least five (5) years of industry experience.
  • Can successfully manage multiple Community Living / Multifamily projects simultaneously with contract values ranging from $3M to $10M each, or individual complex projects ranging from $10M to $40M.
  • Track record of on-time, within-budget, quality construction projects.
  • Ability to manage a team of people to achieve specific project requirements, including Project Engineers, Project Administrators, and Project Coordinators.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction, materials, means and methods, scheduling, project accounting and cost control procedures, general contract structure, general conditions, subcontract documents, construction drawings and specifications.
  • Confidence in navigating and understanding prime contracts.
  • Can effectively search, navigate, and interpret contract documents (plans, specifications, RFI’s, ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.).
  • Adept at managing project documentation, including RFI’s, submittals, plan changes (ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite programs; specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Proficient in scheduling and tracking software tools such as MS Project or P6
  • Possesses organizational skills and is detail-oriented.
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to delegate tasks and follow up to assure successful completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend, simplify, and convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Skilled at problem solving; resilient and determined to find or create solutions.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision and limited direction.
  • Exhibits high emotional intelligence.
  • Demonstrated history of excellent customer service.
  • Current safety certifications, including OSHA 10- or 30-hour.
  • SWPPP certification (desired).

Travel Requirements:

  • This position is based in Meridian, ID, with periodic travel to projects across the Western United States.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of a construction project, including bidding, construction/operations, project close-out, and warranty.
  • Establish, monitor, and thoroughly understand project finances.
  • Generate, track, and maintain complex construction schedules.
  • Search out, contract with, negotiate with, and effectively manage a diverse group of subcontractors.
  • Resolve prime contract and subcontract disputes.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFI’s, submittals, plan changes (ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.).
  • Regularly visit jobsites to meet with clients and verify adherence to project documents and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with other support departments to identify and resolve project issues.
  • Regularly report project status to superiors and clients.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
