Responsibilities:
· Review and interpret plans and specifications
· Prepare and maintain cost estimates, budgets and CPM progress schedules
· Prepare progress billings and change orders
· Prepare and execute subcontracts and purchase orders
· Identify sources and procure construction materials
· Manage logistics for freight and personnel travel/lodging for projects in rural-Alaska
· Review and approve product submittals
· Prepare quality control, health & safety, environmental, and other necessary work plans for complex projects
· Interact with Owner’s regularly and facilitate project meetings
· Report progress to principals on a daily basis and participate in weekly team meeting with company personnel
Qualification Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management. Bachelor’s degree in other disciplines combined with 10 years construction experience will also be considered.
· Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in public or private commercial or industrial construction.
· Communication: Proven record of effective written and verbal communication skills through writing sample and in-person interview
· Computer skills: Familiar with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CPM Scheduling software (MS Project and/or Oracle P6)
· References: Positive reviews from three professional references with direct work experience with applicant
· Background check: Must be eligible for access to federal facilities and schools
