Job Description :

We are seeking a candidate to fulfill the role of Project Manager for the construction of multiple 40,000 square foot Fitness Facilities and various 3500 – 12,000 square foot retail buildings.

We are an established General Contractor having in excess of 25 years’ experience in the commercial construction industry. Our business is built upon the relationships we've formed over the years and continues to grow as we form new relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of the assigned projects to keep it on schedule.
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
  • Serving as a point of contact for the Owner, Architect, Subcontractors, etc.
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout construction to maintain the standards expected.
  • Manage the budget, subcontracts and change orders.
  • Maintain a position of staying in front of the project in schedule, lead times and approvals.
  • Manage all facets of project close-out, including archiving of documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, and warranty work.
  • Complete project estimates from start to finish including but not limited to: review specs, send out request for quotes, perform take offs, compile subcontractor quotes, and write up estimates.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years project management experience.
  • Experience with managing commercial projects in a diverse array of sectors, including fitness centers, and the ability to multi-task in a high volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Has a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes.
  • Understands estimating concepts to the level required to verify bids, understand market rates, and to process change orders, etc.
  • Understands contractual language and concepts and how to protect the company while providing quality service to the client.
  • Has a working knowledge of construction laws and practices.
  • Understands building codes and other design requirements to the extent necessary for the project.
  • Reads and understands plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Has high standards of ethical conduct regarding organizational policies.
  • Effective working as a team member to achieve organizational and customer goals.
  • Can discern customer needs. Determines which needs can reasonably be met, then follows through.
  • Has strong negotiation skills.
  • Knows how to manage processes to achieve challenging goals. Is a self-starter. Works independently.
  • Strong proficiency in Procore, Microsoft office and email composition.
