Werko Machine Company is looking for a Project Coordinator in our climate-controlled job shop in Pennsauken, NJ. This position is for a full-time, 1st shift worker with experience in blueprint analysis, raw materials, hardware, and assembly components. Potential candidates must have the ability to create 3D Models and mechanical drawings using CAD. Application of metrology equipment such as calipers, micrometers, dial bore gage, height gage, ect. is required and candidates must also be mechanically inclined.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates of materials for part manufacturing and assemblies in a Job Shop environment
• Seek vendors for specialized services, obtain costs and lead time for all outside process to support bid preparation
• Consult with vendors, customers, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates, schedules, and resolve issues
• Analyze blueprints and other documentation including CAD files to prepare cost estimates
• Prepare sketches of parts being quoted so engineering can create a final drawing. CAD drafting experience is a plus

Job requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a machine shop or mechanical assembly environment
• Degree in a STEM discipline is desirable
• Machining background is ideal but not required
• Familiar with identifying raw material, hardware, and assembly components
• Familiar with properties and uses of raw materials, hardware, and assembly components
• Familiar with inspecting part dimensions and properties to create an mechanical sketch
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, and CAD files
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and establish goals
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other employees.
• Must be a team player and dependable
• Professional Communication with customers, vendors, and team members though email, phone, or in person
• Must be detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft office and other computer skills
