Position Summary
PG&E is in the process of enabling a fully digital workforce over the next 5-years. Multiple groups inside and outside of IT will be taking part in data, process, and technology efforts to make progress toward this vision.

We are seeking an experienced Principal-level Product Owner/Manager to be part of the Digital Catalyst Team who will provide a clear vision of the technology product suite that will facilitate the digital transformation of the Work Management program for the company. From the vision, the Product Owner/Manager forms well defined and prioritized program backlog, provides a clear timeline of the product release cycle and communicates effectively to all stakeholders, leaders, and executives. This role should have a good understanding of the end-to-end work management process from initiation to completion, as well as the technology that supports the process. The Product Owner/Manager focuses on the end-user experience, needs, and features that drive a roadmap to deliver business value. They are also responsible for building and maintaining relationships that allow the Product Owners to act as the customer proxy and use influence to overcome hierarchal challenges.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.​

A reasonable salary range is:

Bay Area Minimum: $147,000.00
Bay Area Mid-point: $199,000.00
Bay Area Maximum: $251,000.00
&/OR​
California Minimum: $140,000.00
California Mid-point: $189,000.00
California Maximum: $238,000.00

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need.

Qualifications

Minimum:
High School or GED-General Educational Development-GED Diploma 7+ years of job-related experience

Desired:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Experience as Product Owner, Agile environment, 5 years
Knowledge of Agile software development principles, values, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level
Knowledge of workforce planning analytics theories, concepts, methods, best practices, and techniques as needed to perform at the job level
Ability to influence and lead behavior change
Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
Competency in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
Competency in applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization goals
Competency in effectively building formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization
SAP Work Management experience related to utility operations work from initiation to closure
Knowledge of Service Planning, Dependency Management, Scheduling & Dispatch, Construction and As-Built processes
Experience with Mobile and Salesforce technology

Responsibilities
Evaluates new products and equipment and keeps abreast of new products and/or equipment available in the market.
Effectively prioritize new features to provide the highest level of business value
Accomplish product development milestones within the approved budget
Identifies the appropriate customer audience, their preferred communication channels, and potential customer response benchmarks
Leads complex or major projects with high corporate or functional priority
Acts as primary liaison between various departments, Stakeholders, business community, and lines of businesses
Supports existing products to ensure operational needs are met and data collection and documentation is accurate
Develops implementation plans and establish teams to introduce new technology
Provides product feedback and customer insight to support product development
Partners with products organization to deliver feedback on existing products and introduce potential products for future programs
Analyzes work plan and schedules to reallocate resources or reprioritize program work
Develops new highly complex products
Identifies the developmental needs of others, and coaches and mentors others to improve their knowledge or skills
