Accepting applications for a part-time water operator to work in our Howard County Regional water contract. This position typically works 20 hours per week (8 hours each day on Tuesday & Wednesday, the remaining 4 hours are variable depending on need). The ideal candidate would have flexibility to assist during absences, such as vacations. A sampling of the duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Control & monitor biological treatment processes throught flow meters, etc.
• Add chemicals such as chlorine for disinfection.
• Prepare reports and logs detailing plant operation.
• Collect and perform lab analysis of samples.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot equipment and controls.

Requirement:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience repairing and maintaining related equipment, such as blowers, pumps, etc.
• Flexible work schedule.
