Looking for experienced, dynamic, self-motivated and professionally driven individual who has a desire to help change lives. Join our team as an Outreach Coordinator and make an immediate impact on the lives of individuals struggling with mental health by harnessing the arts.

An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has proven planning and organizational skills required to strategize business prospecting and strategic client development of new business opportunities within the market area assigned. This candidate will have a focus and passion for marketing within the mental health arena with experience of meeting and exceeding established expectations and quotas of increasing client acquisition and expanding market share.

The outreach coordinator's responsibilities include data collection and analysis, representing our organization at trade fairs, organizing media events, and coordinating volunteer activities, as well as in handling administrative duties.

Outreach Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Exceeding screenings and admissions targets by establishing influence in market segments including, but not limited to: mid- to large-size businesses, restaurants, warehouses, C-suite executives, HR professionals, hospitals, professional organizations, mental health centers, etc. through a variety of avenues such as personal appointments and visits, phone calls, letters, emails and conferences.
  • Establish and cultivate an extensive professional referral network within the assigned accounts.
  • Facilitate and maintain consistent activity levels for the following: weekly prospect meetings, facility tours, referrals and admissions. Track all opportunities on a daily basis.
  • Handle public relations, such as developing strategic relationships, attending tradeshows, and conducting informational presentations at universities, clubs, and civic groups.
  • Develop press releases, brochures, emails and other marketing materials.
  • Organize outreach events, including sales, marketing, and planning, to promote the services of the organization and receive new sales prospects and leads.
  • Collect and analyze data on local demographics, develop results, and present the conclusions to the relevant departments.
  • Create activities to supplement and support staff needs.
  • Verify the staff's availability, receiving their feedback, recognizing their efforts, and answering their questions.
  • Performing administrative duties, such as overseeing mailings, organizing travel, monitoring budget information, and reporting on financial issues.
  • Design and maintain a favorable public image for the organization.
  • Coordinate all public relations activities and events.
  • Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate new business contacts.
  • Develop and implement media relations programs.
  • Work with other departments to help promote brand recognition.
  • Assist in the selection of marketing and promotional materials.

Outreach Coordinator Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, public relations, social services, or related field.
  • 2-3 years experience in the field.
  • Previous experience in public relations or other related fields.
  • Strong industry knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and management skills.
  • Experience with institutional databases, public access sites, and primary research skills.
  • Good reporting, technical, and statistical skills.
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing strategies.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • Experience in finding prospective new referrals, soliciting new business and closing on sales opportunities in a healthcare related field.
  • Ability do effective job on cold calling, outbound sales, lead generation and followup.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health, mental health or psychiatric field preferred.
  • Love of the arts and its ability to heal!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $21.00 per hour
