Job Requirements:

Serve as an active participant in and support of safety initiatives and improvements

Reinforce plant safety regulations and housekeeping practices and encourage employees to become safety conscious

Demonstrate Leadership – lead by example

Coach and counsel team members to perform to company's standards

Drive and implement positive change

Build effective relationships with all crew members and internal departments to produce a superior product

Support research and development projects by providing knowledge and assistance as needed
Responsibilities:
-
Set up, operate, and adjust machine and auxiliary equipment
-
Verify machine set up and materials required to run a job
-
Verify machine conditions, monitor accordingly, and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain the machine in control to produce a quality product
-
Operate a distributed control system (ABB) for the process
-
Maintain and continuously monitor product quality and make adjustments accordingly
-
Maintain close communications with QC inspector to monitor process changes
-
Work to minimize job change-over, machine start-up, shut down and clean up times
-
Assist as needed with wire covering changes
-
Ensure that the dryer doctor blades are operational and maintained
-
Understand and manage wet end vacuum system operations
-
Maintain housekeeping standards around the wet end
Qualifications/ Experience:
-
High School diploma or equivalent
-
Progressive experience in an industrial operations environment
-
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
-
Operate effectively in a fast paced environment
-
Able to work in a team setting – and act as a leader for the team

Intermediate to advanced computer skills
