Responsibilities for Naval Architect

· Assess project requirements and research feasibility

· Negotiate and agree on bids, timescales, and specifications

· Plan and supervise the construction of tooling / molds

· Produce detailed designs of molds using drawings and specialist computer software

· Develop and utilize test procedures including computer modeling and scale models

· Interpret and analyze data and test results

Qualifications for Naval Architect

· Able to analyze and interpret technical information and drawings

· Experience with CAD (3 years plus)

· Work to timetables and under pressure to meet deadlines

· Strong sense of responsibility

· Relevant design work experience

· Keen on thinking creatively

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Able to work effectively with a team

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent spatial awareness

· Solid understanding of hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, materials testing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
