Winners Circle Project (WCP) is seeking a reliable individual to teach our Marketing and Public Relations class three days per month (one-hour class per day). Classes will be taught to students in WCP at Waverly, Owego, and Watkins Glen High Schools. The total time commitment will be approximately 15 hours per month; a total of three hours at each of the schools, class prep, and one hour per week for student communication--emails/phone calls. Travel time is considered in the 15 hours per month.
The classes will cover marketing basics such as understanding the audience, newsletter creation, email gathering, basic networking and fundraising principles that support and promote the marketing of the schools' student-built vehicle. A WCP course outline will be provided along with guidance through the protocols.
Responsibilities to include:
Planning email marketing campaigns and overseeing their execution Collaboration with internal and school teams on new newsletter deliverables Maintaining an up-to-date list of subscribers Analyzing data to evaluate the success of the marketing efforts and creating new
ideas to improve brand exposure
Effectively conveying the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential
donors
Strategizing and successfully executing fundraising campaigns
This position has the potential to grow as additional schools are added to our program. Also, additional hours can be gained through periodic marketing services (document creation, PowerPoint presentations, etc.) to support the WCP organization.
Required Skills: Knowledge of marketing, networking, and fundraising principles Excellent interpersonal, organizational and oral and written communication skills Ability to set and meet deadlines
Strong editing skills and demonstrable attentiveness to detail In-depth understanding of audience engagement strategies Working knowledge of email marketing services, such as MailChimp & Constant Contact Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Ability to utilize analytics to build successful marketing campaigns Manage and generate conversations across various social media platforms to engage
our followers and expand our reach Proven fundraising experience
Preferred Skills: Bachelor's Degree
Experience working with high-school aged students
