Manufacturing Engineering Technician

A manufacturing company in Cudahy, WI is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join their 1st shift team. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!

Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician

• Obtained or will obtain an Associate degree in Manufacturing related field or has obtained certification(s) and/or technical diploma in manufacturing related field preferred
• Manufacturing engineering experience
• Minimum of 3 years of advanced CNC programming, set-up and operating CNC vertical/horizontal machining centers or manual lathes and mills, and swiss machining
• Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading
• Ability to read precision measuring equipment, such as calipers. gauges, and micrometers
• Word/Excel/Access software skills, CAD/CAM/SolidWorks/Virtual Gibbs experience preferred
• Working knowledge of multi-axis CNC equipment and associated programming

Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineering Technician

• Program CNC vertical machining centers and lathes utilizing CAD/CAM Software or programming manually
• Program Swiss machines with Part Maker
• Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions, tooling, speeds, feeds and blueprints
• Consult with engineers and other personnel regarding product information such as design, capacity and purpose, and types of materials to be used or substituted
• Work independently including ordering tooling, maintain machine shop data bases, and shop supplies, as necessary
• Provide tooling recommendations relative to new technology supporting production improvements
• Setup, program and operate CNC machines as required

Schedule is 1st shift, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday through Friday

Pay is $25.00 - $38.00 an hour, depending on experience
