Our firm is seeking a full-time Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal. This role is a critical one in the management of client case load and the operations of the firm.
The applicant will support attorneys by performing a variety of duties including, but not limited to, drafting/preparing, proofreading and releasing pleadings and other legal documents (discovery, etc.), communicating with clients and court personnel, and coordinating the flow of work through the office via an internal workflow management tools.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, good-natured individual self-starter with attention to detail and with previous experience in family law. Additional experience in trust & estates or bankruptcy helpful.
He/She/They will be experienced working in law offices as an administrator and are a team-player. This role include client interaction, follow up, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide efficient and prompt customer service/support over the phone and via email
- Client communication including: screening calls from clients, helping to manage internal workflow email accounts, return calls and emails, follow up on client action items, and schedule appointments
- Managing the office calendar, including working with court personnel and attorneys to resolve calendar conflicts
- Manage all active client/case workload, including managing timelines of deadlines
- Proofread, prepare, and release legal documents on time
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation (printing, organizing, binding, etc.)
- File pleadings electronically with local and federal courts
- Draft & edit correspondence
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience of at least 2-3 years as paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm (with family law experience)
- Experience with bankruptcy filings a plus
- Able to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong grammar and vocabulary
- Courteous and professional demeanor
- Able to work as a team with attorneys and staff
- Strong sense of discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with additional time expected as needed based on client and office need
