Overview:
Presbyterian Homes & Services, Management & Services division is seeking a Lead Employee Health Nurse to join its team.
We are seeking an experienced RN, with occupational health leadership background, who has a compassion for serving in a caring, Christian environment.

Responsibilities:
The Lead Employee Health Nurse position exists to promote employee health and the prevention and management of illness and injury within Presbyterian Homes & Services to maximize employee and organizational performance.

This position will coordinate the activities of the RN employee health staff in assigned areas of responsibility to ensure responsive medical support for employees in accordance with PHS policies and procedures. This position monitors work schedules, maintains department scheduling guidelines, leads nursing practice oversight, leads day-to-day operations and workflows, regulatory compliance and assists with oversight, training and mentoring of new staff in assigned areas of responsibility.

In addition to lead duties, this position works collaboratively as an active member of the Employee Health team to provide direct service to employees in employee health triage, pre-employment screening and other areas as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with current licensure in state(s) of designated facilities. Bachelor’s degree and certification in occupational health nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years successful experience in occupational health or employee health, with at least one year supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge in Worker’s Compensation, FMLA, ADA and disability laws, employee assessment, DOT, OSHA, and occupational health nursing functions. Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in each area.
  • High interpersonal, assessment, communication, and negotiation (both oral and written) skills required. Must be effective at handling sensitive medical and confidential information.
  • Strength in independent decision making, problem solving, leading/managing and follow through required.
  • Excellent in influencing, consulting, and networking skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously and to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with all customers
