IT Support Manager – Richardson, TX
Halff is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm’s Technology Department as an IT Support Manager in our Richardson, Texas, office. This key position will manage our nine team members who provide support across the enterprise. The primary responsibility will be supporting this team and ensuring and promoting excellent customer service. Our customers are the internal employees, and our primary responsibility is to ensure they are operating at peak performance. This position reports to and will work with the Director of IT Support to maintain and fulfill the firm's Support requirements.

IT Support Manager responsibilities include:
  • Recruit, hire, train, and support the help desk representatives
  • Lead the help desk team and evaluate their performance
  • Ensure and maintain high specific customer service standards
  • Contribute to improving employee support by actively responding to queries and handling concerns
  • Provide employee feedback to the appropriate internal teams
  • Follow up with employees to identify areas of improvement
  • Refine or establish best practices throughout the entire technical support process
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the help desk team’s productivity
  • Establish and develop relationships with vendors who support our purpose
  • Management of the organization’s hardware assets through product lifecycles, from purchasing computer related equipment and accessories, to their disposal
  • Management and control of the organization’s IT software assets through product lifecycles from purchasing, acquisition, and setup of licensing solutions
  • Maintain the software inventory and the instructions for each instance
  • Perform audits of hardware, software, and licensing
  • Travel to remote branch locations as necessary
  • Provide Tier-3 support for technical issues not able to be resolved at the first levels
Requirements and skills
  • First and foremost, customer service minded with a problem-solving attitude
  • Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
  • Hands-on experience with help desk and remote-access software
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Team management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant industry standards
  • A proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills and creative solutions
  • At least 5 years of experience related to:
    • Managing a team of five or more helpdesk individuals
    • Successfully leading a service/help desk work queue
    • Supporting end-user operating system and applications deployments (Windows, Office, etc.)
    • Troubleshooting end-user networking issues (wired, wireless, VPN, etc.)
    • Managing end-user hardware and troubleshooting (desktops, laptops, printers, phones, etc.)
    • On-prem and Azure Active Directory
    • Collaboration environments such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
    • Windows Server, including and understanding server functions such as DHCP, DNS, Group Policy
    • Microsoft End Point Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Added value experience with technologies, such as:
    • Fresh Service (ITSM)
    • Crowd Strike (Falcon Complete)
    • Intune
    • Autopilot
    • Mobile Device Management (MDM)
    • Microsoft Exchange
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Fortinet / FortiClient / Mimecast
    • CodeTwo
  • Capable of all physical demands
