JOB SUMMARY:
Strategically plans enterprise-wide Information Technology implementations and technology infrastructure installations and upgrades.
Provides technical expertise and direction to the server and network administrator, End-user support specialists, and help desk staff. Performs and/or assigns projects to meet priorities of Information Technology’ plan. Ensures cross-functional integration between Information Technology and electronic medical systems. Performs system downtime management and communication coordination as well as Management and 24-hour responsibility for the planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling of the Information Technology department(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares and administers the department’s annual operating and capital budget within financial expectations; accounts for variance
  • Recruits, develops, retains, and leads an appropriate number of personnel to meet department needs and the goals and objectives of Livingston HealthCare.
  • Develops an annual education plan
  • Develops and maintains departmental policies and procedures to ensure adherence to professional and legal standards, quality of service, fiscal control, and customer relations
  • Adheres to administrative policies and procedures relating to human resource management.
  • Manages continuously running data center equipment and systems, data communications, network infrastructure, and LAN / WAN systems that comprise the enterprise-wide data and Voice/video communications network.
  • Promotes effective change management practices
  • Manages, plans, and implements components for the computer network structure, spanning multiple technology platforms including Telemedicine, Business, and Voice systems
  • Manages, plans, and implements components for the computer network structure, spanning multiple regional campus locations.
  • Manage Financial, Business, and HR system implementations and upgrades
  • Develops recommendations for management regarding capital expenditures for technology infrastructure and departmental IT equipment.
  • Evaluates the suitability of software applications and hardware products under consideration for use in the organization.
  • Configures and manages building access control
  • Manages the physical and electronic security to all servers and network equipment closets.
  • Develops, implements and administers policies and procedures for network administration including access, audit trails, encryption, and virus protection.
  • Conducts digital forensic investigation in cooperation with the organization Compliance and privacy officer
  • Conducts regular Information Security assessments
  • Collaborates as a key member of the Corporate Compliance committee to pursue compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
