Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the full cycle recruiting process, from onboarding and termination to benefits administration. Track and manage annual training requirements. Conduct regular audits as appropriate to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations. Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, pay changes, status changes, transfers, and promotions. Reporting: Compile and complete annual salary surveys and comparison reports and track accident data for OSHA and L&I compliance. Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings as necessary. Verify I-9 documentation and complete e-verify. Maintain employee files.
Qualifications we are looking for: Minimum One (1) year of experience in Human Resources. Strong communication and analytical skills (problem assessment, solution generation) Self-starter with a let's get things done attitude and resourceful mindset. Ability to juggle multiple priorities, work independently, be proactive, and take the initiative to achieve goals set forth by the organization. Emotionally intelligent and self-aware, collaborative, and supportive. Experience working with a diverse group of people from all walks of life because we care to make a difference! Maintain compliance with local and federal employment regulations. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, in particular); G Suite: Google Docs, Google Drive, Google Sheets, uAttend, Gusto payroll, etc. Must be at least 21 years of age Payroll and benefits administration
Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Psychology, or a related field. PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification. City of Seattle employment regulations.
