We are looking for a responsible part-time Human Resources Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks and provide support to the Human Resources Department. The ideal candidate must be proactive, responsive, display tact and empathy, have excellent communication skills and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. There is currently an opening for two days a week.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources department
  • Maintain digital and electronic records of employees
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities
  • Coordinate HR projects (meetings, surveys, etc)
  • Respond to employee requests regarding human resources issues
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as an HR assistant or generalist
  • Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and payroll software--preferably ADP
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Ability to lift or move up to 10 lbs.

Standard work hours are 8 am – 5 pm with a one-hour lunch.
