Human Resource Director Position:

Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resource Director is responsible for managing all things related to People and Culture. This includes: Development of diversity, equity and inclusion programing and systems, culture and engagement, performance management, organizational, compensation and benefits design. The HR Director provides hands-on and function leadership – blending details and big picture thinking. This includes employment law compliance, HRIS/time and attendance, benefits administration and training. Recruiting, retaining and rewarding our talent is a primary focus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

HR Business Partners, Administrative Coordinator, and Credentialing Coordinator.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  • As a member of the organization’s executive team, and from a diversity, equity and inclusion framework, understands business challenges; provides insight and input to business planning efforts; develops HR strategy that promotes fulfillment of organizational objectives and responds to people issues.
  • Collaborates across the organization with managers to influence and improve cross-division/site coordination.
  • Develops tools and metrics to assess and drive operational efficiency within the organization
  • Evaluates, improves and streamlines existing HR & business work processes and approaches so they not only address an immediate situation but also fit within broader organizational strategies.
  • Provides day-to-day consultation, advice and guidance at all levels which will directly impact behavior and actions.
  • As a member of the executive team, builds and fosters a positive and cohesive work environment for all departments.
  • Ensures consistent and timely implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Conducts management education in areas such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance feedback, harassment, etc.
  • Drives the performance management process to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
  • Partners with management on compensation administration process to ensure compliance and equity across the organization.
  • Leads employee reward and recognition efforts.
  • Develops strong recruiting, hiring, onboarding and retention processes
  • Develop, deliver and implement training programs for managers and employees internally or with external trainers.

Education / Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field. SPHR or PHR strongly preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience including management experience.
  • Knowledge and/ or experience in health care related industry preferred.
  • Well versed in HR disciplines: compensation, talent management, employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits etc.
  • Must have thorough understanding of state and federal employment laws and their applicability.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving employee engagement and culture initiatives which directly lead to culture transformation.
  • Proven ability to plan, develop and implement strategic initiatives, benefits, programs and processes.
  • Experience in leading DEI efforts to break down barriers and address intrinsic bias.
  • Experience in leading and managing direct reports.
  • Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and reporting.

  • LMS Relias Training is an annual requirement and trainings must be completed before annual deadline.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
