Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will be accountable for partnering with DS business teams to develop strategies and associated action plans to achieve business objectives. This person performs a crucial role, serving as a link between the strategic goals of a business and the people responsible for getting the company where it needs to be. The HR Manager works closely with department leaders, managers, and key stakeholders to unlock the potential of all business areas have a huge impact on the way an organization is both built and run. Also, in partnership with our Legal and HRBP teams, you will drive the principles and processes required to navigate complex and sensitive team member issues, conduct thorough investigations, and provide sound guidance in pursuit of the best outcomes that mitigate legal and cultural risks. You must have a deep expertise in employee relations and high-risk, highly complex workplace investigations; demonstrate high judgement, integrity, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills; and the ability to thrive in diverse and fast-paced environments.
Essential Functions:
· Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
· Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
· Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions,
programs and policies.
· Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective,
thorough and objective investigations.
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day
management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory
compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
· Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g.,
coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
· Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships,
build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
· Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
· Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
· Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR
matters.
· Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and
succession planning.
· Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching
needs.
· Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard
business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, GSuite)
· Proficiency with HR Systems (ADP WFN, Workday, Oracle, etc.) and case
management software (Ethicspoint, HR Acuity, etc.)
· Ability to use HRIS related computer programs and software; experience with ADP
Workforce Now preferred
· Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
· Ability to effectively communicate with team members from diverse backgrounds
and with different styles of communication
· Demonstrated ability to identify trends and collaborate with assigned business
partners to resolve matters expediently and thoroughly
· Highly developed problem-solving skills and business acumen
· Proven ability to assess, mitigate, prevent, and prioritize employee-related risks and
liabilities
· Ability to work remotely
Education and Experience:
· Degree in Business, Human Resources, Employee Relations; Masters preferred
· 5+ years of progressive experience in workplace investigations and employee and
labor relations
· Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and
proven methodologies for conducting and documenting workplace investigations
· Bilingual (English and Spanish)
· Organizational experience in government contracting environments, preferred
· Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements and Service Contract Act (SCA)
highly desirable
· Valid driver’s license, required
· Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
· Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
· Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, a background check, and provide proof of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19 after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have direct reports.
Work Environment
This position operates in a field work environment, seven days a week and holidays.
Physical Demands
The employee may be required to stand, walk, twist, turn, bend, climb, lift, or kneel. Occasional lifting to 25lbs may occur.
