Summary of Responsibilities

The Sales Consultant serves customers by consulting on our flooring process by offering product knowledge, and meeting customer needs to beautify their home. This position sells directly to homeowners who need flooring in their home, office, or business. Our best employees have learned about application techniques, and flooring materials and can offer basic product, color, and style advice. Leads are generated by AHF marketing and efforts by Sales Consultant

Essential Functions

· Learn and use our proven AHF sales process from initial contact to final decision.

· No office time or TPS reports to file! Position will be regularly engaged away from the office while obtaining contracts from homeowners.

· Consult with homeowner on their color/style needs and complete detailed estimates using company provided software.

· Present estimates to customer within 24 hours.

· Attend sales meetings and monthly team building meetings.

· Work closely with sales manager on estimates larger than $10k

· Achieve or exceed sales goals to make as much money as possible.

· Opportunity to expand professional and technical knowledge by attending AHF sanctioned educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

· All tools provided to review historical sales records.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

· High school education

· Minimum of 1-year in-home sales experience. Industry experience preferred but not required.

· Computer skills, with working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs

· Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record, and other preemployment screening.

· Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.

Compensation

· $60,000-$85,000 (base+commission). Commission is not capped

· Paid holidays, PTO (sick & personal), 1 week vacation (eligible after 3month)

· Gas card

· No Health Insurance

· Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

· A strong customer focus; commitment to-delivering quality solutions and maintaining effective customer relationships.

· Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

· Proven and sustained sales track record.

· Resilient; handles stress and rejection without reaction.

· Excellent negotiation skills to secure and close deals.

· Exceptional presentation skills, written and verbal skills and equally strong listening skills.

· Computer skills to include Microsoft Office Products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook and sales database tracking programs.
