We are seeking a strategic partner for our Chief Technology Officer focused both on helping manage the day-to-day and strategically executing on objectives. This role will encompass various typical EA responsibilities such as managing the calendar, planning travel, helping prepare for meetings and coordinating cross-functional meetings in partnership with other executive and administrative assistants and leaders across WEX. This role may be required to assist with other miscellaneous activities required of the CTO.
Candidates must have the ability to interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, at times under extreme pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Multitasking effectively, strong decision-making ability and flawless attention to details are all equally important.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Responsible for calendar management, requiring interaction and coordination with both internal and external parties and stakeholders.
Responsible for all travel-related activities including expenses and itinerary management. Monitor and communicate any changes to travel arrangements to appropriate parties to ensure alignment (ie. ensure travel to headquarters aligns with one-to-one meetings with the CEO and direct reports etc.)
Interactions with Board of Directors (BOD) members, and their assistants, to coordinate and schedule meetings
Provide strategic communication support, including management and organization of emails and tracking of requests and critical path inquiry to response and management of Chief Technology Officer.
Manage communication ‘bundles’ to drive timely results; transmitting communications to the teams on behalf of the CTO as needed.
Proactively identifies meetings or communications needed based on conversations s/he is involved in.
Facilitate communications on behalf of the CTO (i.e. communications from the CTO to the Tech Organization with business updates and announcements).
Provide strategic and key meeting and group support, including planning, development and execution of key stakeholders content, deck building, coordinating presenters, setting agendas, preparing materials, and actively driving initiatives and actions to completion.
Improves processes, methods, systems, products and services through original and innovative thinking, within the Technology team and across WEX. Partners with other functions to create a “One WEX” culture.
Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and external personnel.
Promotes/facilitates coordination and cooperation among peers
Develop, set, maintain and monitor, prioritization and communications across the team working to ensure activities and initiatives directly connect/contribute to overall team strategy.
In partnership with HR and the Office of the CTO, create an environment of recognition, appreciation, creativity and fun that drives engagement.
Help build the culture, team and brand for the team, including supporting HR on DEI strategic deliverables and building this into our operating mechanisms.

Job Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 7+ years of related business experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
Strong preference to a fintech background
Ability to anticipate possible problems and proactively presents them
Highly independent and autonomous - able to execute with minimal supervision
Excellent relationship management skills, networking with senior internal and external personnel
Proactively work both with a team or independently, with minimal direction and supervision
Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time and prioritize work
Requires in-depth knowledge of company policies, procedures, and operations
Ability to exercise good judgment in obtaining methods for solutions across all projects

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $69,000.00 - $92,000.00
