Description

As a DST (Desktop Support Technician) you will be responsible for providing overall technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software, to end-users via phone, remote access, and desk side support. Under limited supervision, you will respond to queries, isolate problems, and determine and implement appropriate solutions. Additionally, you will work with other team members to meet deadlines and provide status updates while resolving end user challenges. All S&S Activewear employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Schedule & Benefits

Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM, Full-Time, Exempt

The company offers vacation time, a personal day, and sick time after waiting period ranging between 30 – 90 days. Other benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D and Short/Long term disability and 401K with a 3% company contribution.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing technical software and hardware support and informal training on hardware and software use in response to customer requests
  • Follows established procedures for performing configuration changes, updates and upgrades and assists in the deployment of new images, software/hardware upgrades and fixes
  • Responds to Tier I & II support requests via multiple sources such a phone, email, Microsoft Teams
  • Assists in the deployment of new computers as it relates to PC replacement program, software/hardware upgrades and fixes
  • Interacts with Internal customers in a courteous and professional manner
  • Documents solutions to common problems and responses to frequently asked questions
  • May provide on-the-spot training to customers
  • Perform diagnostics, repair, and/or replace damaged hardware
  • Identify and implement innovation in technology support to mitigate existing or potential problems
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes
  • Input, monitor, troubleshoot, track, and resolve Help Desk Support tickets to conclusion
  • Remotely troubleshoot issues for offsite users
  • Support in house software including O365


Required Education, Skills, Abilities and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of IT experience is required
  • JAMF experience is a plus
  • College degree in related IT related field or trade school equivalent
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
  • Networking experience is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Problem solving including root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and drive issues, tasks, and deliverables from concept to closure
  • High degree of competency in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Strong team member and able to contribute to a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • 20% Travel is required
  • Rotating on call schedule
  • Able to routinely lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet daily

Physical Demands

This job operates an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
