Responsibilities: Below are the essential duties and responsibilities of the position; other duties may be assigned as directed:
1) Ensures timely completion of the month-end closing process for enterprise-wide operating companies including, but not limited to, account reconciliations, posting general ledger entries, reviewing variances and supporting and collaborating with other team members at the various operating entities
2) Reviews the monthly financial statements for the various owner-occupied real estate entities that are prepared by support team
3) Leads equipment management process including, but not limited to, (1) uploads completed financing documents and amortization schedules to the network, (2) updates the master equipment list files, (3) oversees the updating of the internal depreciation software, (4) maintains and provides information on loan payments as requested (5) participates in equipment cost managing process (6) coordinates with support team on recurring monthly loan payment schedules and (7) supports shop teams in providing relevant equipment information when necessary
4) Manages currently three (3) direct reports; participates in hiring, training and retaining support team
5) Analyzes financial information including, but no limited to, monthly financial statements, annual budgeting, and ad hoc reports as requested by management
6) Coordinates activities of external CPA work including, but not limited to, end of year engagements
7) Assesses current accounting operations and processes, offering recommendations for improvements and implementing new processes when necessary
8) Supports various functions including A/R and A/P and oversees daily cash management reporting and process
9) Participates in the development of budgets and forecasts, where necessary
10) Evaluates accounting and internal control systems to ensure a proper level of segregation of duties
11) Oversees regulatory reporting for maintaining compliance including, but not limited to, various entity sales tax reporting requirements
12) Engages to find efficiencies in processes, reporting, document management and uses for existing technology
13) Performs other duties as assigned
