Jackson College is seeking applicants to assist in custodial duties on campus.

The Cleaning Team Member performs general cleaning duties in designated buildings as assigned by Team Leader.
*
Hours for this position: *M-Th 7-12:30p and F 7:00a – 12:00p

Essential Functions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES included the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sweeps, mops and dusts interior areas of buildings, washes walls, windows, woodwork, furniture and light fixtures; strips and polishes hard surface floors; vacuums and cleans carpet; empties waste containers and disposes of waste materials; cleans and sanitizes toilet rooms, showers, and drinking fountains.

  • Clean entrances to buildings including snow removal.
  • Unlock/lock and secure interior rooms in buildings.
  • Assist Events Services and Building Maintenance as required.
  • Assist with campus recycling initiatives.
  • Responsible for understanding, supporting and actively demonstrating the College’s beliefs, values, mission and vision and being in agreement to be evaluated by same.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES*This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

CONTACTS AND PURPOSE OF CONTACTS*

Internal: Regular contact with employees of Facilities Department for information and problem solving.

External: Limited contact with students and general public

  • Understand and carryout oral and written instruction
