Business Systems Analyst - Remote
  • Contract Duration 16 months
  • Pay rate up to $75/hr

Summary Of Day To Day Responsibilities:
Core Host Data Conversion
  • The successful applicant/s will undertake a Senior Business Systems Analyst role on the Core Banking Team and participate in test planning and review for projects related to the current our client acquisition.
  • The assignment will require the ability to work remotely, both as a team member and independently within the assigned Core Banking project team to complete all assigned tasks within identified timeframes and in line with defined client methodology and standards.
  • The ability to quickly come up to speed with a new environment, customizations, and organization is required.
  • The successful candidates could be working on various assignments and will connect with a broad variety of stakeholders and partners including Technology, QA, and line of business project team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assignment responsibilities will Include a combination of the below based on the assignment:
  • Ensuring that business requirements are accurately defined with details of expectations for data integrity and error handling before defining system requirements and detailed interaction with current customizations
  • Defining system requirements for new customizations or configurations of one or more Systematics applications, which may include
  • Define and mock up new report layouts and end-to-end system flows needed
  • Analyze, document, and explain the impact of the change to current application functionality including base and custom code in line with business requirements
  • Documentation of system flows in a written and/or diagram format for business and technology usage to help others understand
  • Research of application customizations and current system flows to be able to explain the functionality to either business or other technical teams
  • Creation of ad-hoc Easytrieve reports and/or delimited files to analyze large volumes of data
  • Usage of other mainframe tools to view data within mainframe data sets
  • Liaison with QA Teams to develop a heavily automated application test suite
  • Ability to come up to speed on customizations within the assigned application
  • Review of design of existing test cases for accuracy of pre-conditions and staging as well as ensuring the accuracy of documented test steps
  • Guidance in identifying additional test cases needed and the steps required for them
  • Assisting QA Managers and Leads with defining the focus of testing and test cases on new conversion-related projects for functional gap development
  • Participation in project requirements sessions to understand the change and requirements
  • Strategizing with QA leads to determining the focus of testing needed
  • Assisting QA testers to define specific test data pre-conditions and test steps needed
  • Supporting QA teams with data staging guidance
  • Assisting to triage testing defects raised before passing them to development teams
  • Other Business Systems Analyst's tasks as required
Key Skills for the successful applicant/s will be:
For Systematics positions:
  • At least 7 years of In-depth, hands-on FIS Systematics experience in the indicated applications for the positions, Experience should be from a Technology perspective (not a business user) to deliver upon the below responsibilities related to the Core Host Data Conversion program and the need to successfully convert FHN customers & accounts to our client system of record applications
  • The experience could be listed on resumes in the following manner
  • Fidelity (FIS) Systematics/Alltel/Alltel Systematics/Systematics as the company
  • IM/IMPACS/ST/Savings Time/ALS/Advanced Loan System/RM/Relationship Management/GN/Architecture Systems/Card Reference (RF)/Certification Tracking (HX), Intersystem Transfer (IT)
  • FIS Systematics experience is not the same as any other application owned by FIS E.g. FIS TrustDesk experience does not translate.
  • Application experience is required to be able to ensure that system requirements and solutions handle data integrity restrictions within the application and minimize the amount of customization while adhering to regulations but still capturing the business needs
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience leading business or technical-focused meetings
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) including
  • Ability to use complex templates and maintain or adjust as needed to maintain the readability of documents being created
  • Complex formatting or formulas and filters
  • Experience with Excel Pivot table knowledge, advanced PowerPoint skills, or Visio is an OPTIONAL bonus
  • Proven history of working as part of a remote team including remote deployments
  • Mainframe Tool skills
  • Understanding of Easytrieve and JCL to create ad-hoc report lists, summaries, delimited output files, and join multiple files
  • Experience in using File-Aid to view data files including mapping files to copy books and query packed data files
  • Experience with TSO/ISPF to work with personal PDS libraries to read, copy and create libraries and members as needed
  • Understanding and familiarity with SDSF options

  • 7 years of In-depth, hands-on FIS Systematics (RM/Relationship Management)
  • Complex formatting or formulas and filters
  • Mainframe Tool skills
  • TSO/ISPF
  • SDSF

Note:
  • First Horizon
  • These roles are specific to FIDELITY SYSTEMATICS RM/Relationship Management
  • Positions will be remote with minimal travel by prior arrangement.
