Propane Branch Manager - Weaverville, North Carolina
This is a challenging position that will require an ambitious, hard-working, self-motivated person, who will be responsible for making their operating retail location successful, both operationally and financially.
The successful individual will know how to build a solid team, grow market share, control costs, improve margins, deliver customer service, and develop customer loyalty.
The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of Operations Management, Routing and Scheduling, Distribution, Personnel Management, Sales, Propane Service and Installation, and Customer Service.
This role will include full P&L responsibility, budgeting, and establishing an annual business plan.
Provide leadership consistent with company values by hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Develop a unified working relationship with the branch operations personnel focusing on customer service as a TOP priority
Develop a growth action plan for retail location.
Establish relationships with prospective customers using various prospecting techniques.
Promote company name to professional and trade organizations including, homebuilder associations, real estate agencies, chamber of commerce and existing customers
Provides general supervision of all work being done, ensuring safety and quality of work. Oversee product distribution to residential and commercial customers, product inventory and storage, sales, billing, equipment inventory, personnel, and customer service activities of the office.
Enforce safety policies and procedures by conducting safety meetings and ensuring DOT guidelines, laws and regulations/codes are followed and appropriate PPE always worn.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience: Minimum of three years business and/or operational experience required. Delivery, sales, and general management experience desired. Propane, and/or oil, Plumbing, Mechanical operations experience necessary.
Licensing: NC Fuel Piping license or experience required to take exam preferred.
