Who You Are:

We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act as a Bartender. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.


Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Dining Room Supervisor, the Bartender courteously and professionally serves all residents and their guests cocktails, wines, and drinks in the dining room and bar. The Bartender maintains inventory of all bar supplies, maintains a neat and orderly work area, and secures all liquor inventory and supplies. The Bartender completes order guides to ensure par levels are sufficient and submits to the Dining Room Supervisor requests for orders.


Accountabilities:

  • Performs opening and closing duties for the bar and lounge area.
  • Prepares and courteously serves residents and guests beverages during hours of operation.
  • Sets up and monitors any snacks or food items served in the lounge area.
  • Keeps area neat and orderly at all times, follows daily sanitation cleaning schedules and keeps department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
  • Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.


This is a higher hourly rate position. NO TIPS, no late nights. The cocktail lounge is open Monday – Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.


Qualifications

  • High School education or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Must have “TABC” card.
  • Must be willing to learn the art of serving and enjoy interactions with people.
  • Preferred 6 months of experience as a bartender.
