Forestry Tap and Axe is a NEW small business on the west side of Minocqua, WI. At Forestry Tap and Axe we pride ourselves on being a high-end taproom that offers Axe Throwing and a variety of other games. We are a meeting place for friends, family and after work gatherings. Serving 20 different tap beers, craft cocktails and fun for all.

We are looking for a few high-energy bartenders with excellent communication skills to serve our customers. The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages. You will also check in Axe Throwers and work closely with the Axe Master to assure a great time for all customers. To succeed as a bartender, you should have a neat appearance and an engaging, friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable.

Bartender Responsibilities:

· The bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages

· Check in Axe Throwers

· Provide an excellent experience for each guest as well as maintaining cleanliness, inventory, and organization of the bar while on shift

· Ensures that each guest receives excellent guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting, and acknowledging every guest and by maintaining excellent standards

· Conducts bar opening procedures including stocking inventory, preparing garnishes, cleaning, and organizing bar area

· Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs

· Accurately ring orders and take payment via POS system.

· Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register

· Follows all state and local laws, as well as property policies and procedures regarding service of alcoholic beverages

· Performs proper bar closing procedures including cleaning and locking bar area; other closing tasks as prescribed by closing procedure

· Adheres to all company policies and procedures, as well as state health/sanitation standards

Bartender Requirements:

• High school diploma

• Bartender certification

• Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong task and time management abilities.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
