Auto Sales Associate – Sales Manager or Sales Manager-in-Training – Immediate Opening

The candidate that fills this position will be the primary point of contact with most of our customers. It is imperative that the candidate genuinely enjoys working with our customers and the general public and is willing to take the time to provide a positive experience for each customer. This is a unique position which brings together into one position an auto sales associate, finance manager, service writer, and car rental agent. We offer full-service retail auto repair and auto body; the candidate will provide customer intake and create a repair order for auto repair work, take pictures of vehicles requiring auto body work and gather basic customer information to initiate the auto body estimating process. The candidate will generate car rental agreements. The candidate will take payments for completed auto repair work, auto body work, and car rentals. The candidate will fill the key position as primary salesperson for the dealership and as such will be responsible for creating the bill of sale and associated vehicle purchase documents, title application, 21-day permit, and finance paperwork. The candidate will be responsible for stocking new sales inventory in our dealer management system, create deal jackets, key tags, hold for resale, write detailed descriptions, create repair orders for inspection and reconditioning, print Buyer’s Guides, and more. The ideal candidate will be a hard charger, be self-motivated; someone who welcomes Monday mornings. Honesty and integrity are imperative character traits.

Responsibilities:

  • Business hours are 8 am – 5 pm Mon-Fri and 10 am to 4 pm Sat.
  • Candidate must possess a naturally cheerful, positive disposition.
  • Experience as a car salesperson is desired.
  • Experience with finance, especially sub-prime lending, is desired.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated to do the work that will lead to sales.
  • Move cars and organize the sales lot.
  • Maintain sales office in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Respond to and stay on top of leads; set appointments and coordinate test drives with customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all stipulations are cleared on finance deals before customer takes delivery.
  • Create the bill of sale and other paperwork for a vehicle sale, MN DPS title application, 21-day permit, and finance paperwork correctly and accurately on each deal.
  • Create repair orders for auto repair customers; create key tags; print repair orders; coordinate auto repair work with shop.
  • Accept payments from customers for auto repairs, auto body work, car rentals, and auto sales.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or customer service. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Ability to quickly learn and understand front office processes & process flow, shop and auto sales management systems. Ability to quickly transition from one system or process to another and from one task to another. Ability to multitask and manage multiple activities and responsibilities. Candidate must be comfortable on a computer, should know how to type, and should be comfortable using Microsoft Office suite of products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams). The ability to communicate with customers via telephone, text, and email is a must. Depending on background and experience, the candidate will be hired as an auto sales associate, sales manager-in-training, sales manager, or sales and F&I manager. The position, training, compensation, and benefits package will be modified to best fit the background and experience of the candidate.

Compensation:

Compensation is a base salary of $25,000 – $35,000 (annual) plus a generous commission rate for auto sales. As with all commission-based positions, income varies and is dependent on personal performance. Benefits package included with employment.
