Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Position at D&F Plumbing is a high-level support role for someone who is motivated, good at working as part of a team, and can stay focused in a fast-paced environment. If you have an accounting background and align with our core values, we want you on our team!

In this role, you'll help the Controller, construction team, and other leadership staff keep the company's finances healthy and accurate. This will require excellent communication, ability to wear many hats, problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure customers' payments and transactions related to accounts receivable are prepared, posted, verified, and recorded
  • Identify past-due or delinquent accounts and contact them to request payment
  • Research discrepancies and past-due amounts
  • Collaborate with collections to reconcile accounts receivable on a regular basis.
  • Generate monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
  • Assist Controller in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
  • Provide high-level administrative support and assistance to the Construction team and/or other assigned leadership staff
  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks including drafting and responding to emails, letters, and memos, pulling reports and other documents, taking calls, scheduling appointments, etc.
  • Finish projects on or before the assigned date
  • Consolidate leadership staffs’ work calls and emails ensuring all communications were documented, sorted by priority, and handled within appropriate time frame by creating to-do's and calendar reminders
  • Schedule and attend meetings with or on behalf of leadership team; taking notes and recording minutes
  • Receive incoming communication or memos on behalf of leadership staff, reviews contents to determine importance, and summarizes and/or distributes contents to appropriate staff
  • Schedule and coordinate management team members for various meetings and training sessions or special events
  • Keep company and customers’ proprietary information safe and private
  • Assist with internal office processes and field support for matters related to credit cards, invoices, phone interactions, data entry, inventory and paperwork
  • Navigate through multiple softwares at a high level, Excel, Google suite, field service management software, etc.
  • Job entails sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) and may require occasional physical lifting(up to 30 pounds)
  • Take initiative to solve problems that slow function in the office or in the field
  • Be an ambassador for company policies and processes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and phone skills
  • Quick-learner and adaptable
  • Experienced with data entry
  • Accounting background with job costing experience
  • 5 yrs experience in Construction billing and collections
  • Job costing experience is a plus
  • Good physical health with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Computer and typing proficient, 50+ wpm
  • Background or experience in the construction industry
  • Strive to implement systems that benefit the team of employees and D&F Plumbing as a whole

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
